Wheels & Water Show(R)  Location

will be held in Marianna Florida February 26 thru March 3. This event offers many natural resources and the town could not be more supportive.  The weather this time of year is beautiful, 65 to 75 degrees and little rain.  Citizens Park makes for the perfect venue!

Park site map

Here is a look at how great this location is.  A 2019 vendor site map is on the way.

Marianna is the town of Three Rivers...

Three Rivers State Park

Where Florida meets the southwest corner of Georgia, the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers converge to form Lake Seminole, the setting for this peaceful park. Hiking through forested hills of pine and mixed hardwoods, visitors might catch sight of fox squirrels, white-tailed deer, gray foxes, or many species of native and migratory birds. Campers can launch from a boat ramp to enjoy some of the best freshwater fishing in the state, or fish from a 100-foot pier in the camping area. A shady picnic area, with tables and grills, overlooks the lake. For large gatherings, three pavilions are available for rental. Overnight visitors can stay in a full-facility campground next to the lake or enjoy the comforts of a modern cabin.   The Chipola River runs through Citizens Park and on to the  Apalachicola River.  This is spring fed and has beautiful clear water,

We ask that everyone please share the roads.  We have lots of wildlife and want to help our little friends!

Sincerely,

Skipper Unkle

Great Kayaking & Canoeing & Fishing

This river is home to the unique shoal bass. Note that shoal bass regulations changed this past year and are detailed below. The Chipola River is accessible in Marianna off CR 280 (Magnolia Rd), Peacock Bridge Rd (located north of Sink Creek), SR 274 west of Altha on Hamilton Spring Rd, and SR 20 at Clarksville. This very scenic, spring-fed coldwater river stretches about 95 miles starting just north of Marianna and running south through the Dead Lake and into the Apalachicola River. The Chipola River has fast water shoals and provides excellent sunfish (redbreast, redear and bluegill) fishing in the spring depending on the water level. Boat operators should be cautious of these shallow limestone shoals while running your boat in this river during low water.

Cave lovers and Explorers

Welcome to Florida Caverns State Park

This is one of the few state parks with dry (air-filled) caves and is the only state park in Florida to offer cave tours to the public. The Florida Cavern has dazzling formations of limestone stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws, flowstones and draperies. The Chipola River and Blue Hole spring provide areas for fishing, canoeing and boating. Florida Caverns State Park is popular for camping, picnicking, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding. The park does not rent horses, however stables are available for equestrian enthusiast. The park also features a nine-hole, New Deal-era golf course set in beautiful rolling terrain. The entrance is adjacent to the main park entrance; contact the Florida Caverns Golf Course at (850) 526-1148. Guided cave tours are offered year round except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Guided tours of the Florida Cavern lasts 45 minutes and is considered to be moderately strenuous. An audiovisual program about touring the cave and other natural areas of the park is available in the visitor center. Camping reservations may be made by visiting ReserveAmerica.com or by calling Reserve America at (800) 326-3521, TDD (888) 433-0287.
